Areas of Concentration:
Health Care Operational Issues
Medical Malpractice Litigation
Health Care Risk Management

For more than 20 years, Kip has focused her practice on representing hospitals and nurses in operational and regulatory issues as well as medical malpractice defense.  Her previous experience in nursing and as in-house counsel enables Kip to quickly assess medical issues in liability situations from a unique vantage point, as well as provide practical and effective operational guidance based on personal experience.  For example, as a masters-prepared Registered Nurse, she is able to represent physicians and nurses before state licensing and regulatory authorities with an insider’s knowledge.  Having served as a former in-house attorney for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, she also provides informed risk management and operational counsel to hospitals and physician clinical practices.  Before attending law school, Kip served as the Director of Nursing for the St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital/Texas Children’s Hospital Emergency Department in the Texas Medical Center, Houston, Texas.
