Flauren's practice centers on hospitals, physicians and a variety of health care entities serving their operational and compliance needs. She also provides counsel to hospitals and physicians on a variety of day to day issues including HIPAA, EMTALA, The Joint Commission and other operational issues. Prior to joining Stewart Stimmel, Flauren was the Assistant Managing Editor for O’Connor’s Legal Series/Jones McClure Publishing working on the Texas Family Law Code & Handbook. Flauren provides innovative approaches to her clients through her extensive research skills. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and Texas Young Lawyers Association.

Provides advice to hospitals and physicians on compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, The Joint Commission as well as analysis of federal and state regulatory and compliance matters including Stark, Anti-kickback, Anti-trust law and Medicare overpayment issues.

Handles the formation, acquisition and disposition of various health care entities.

Develops physician employment arrangements.

Assists in drafting medical staff bylaws, credentialing policies and procedures and rules and regulations.

Assists in the production and drafting of a variety of contracts and agreements, including physician recruitment issues, management services agreements, physician employment agreements, shareholder agreements, physician coverage agreements and physician recruiting agreements.
